Lantern is a privacy project, and we hold ourselves to that standard.
The map is tracker-free
The interactive map runs no advertising or third-party analytics trackers. When you use "find cameras near me," your location is read by your browser to center the map — it is not sent to us or stored.
What we collect
Our hosting and CDN may keep standard, short-lived server logs (IP, request time, user-agent) for security. Basemap tiles are served by CARTO / OpenStreetMap infrastructure, which receives the tile requests your browser makes.
Ads on content pages
Informational pages may show advertising from adsterra, which may set cookies. The interactive map stays ad-free.
