Hush does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data.

Hush is built to be private by default. All blocking happens on your device, and the extension has no back end to send anything to.

What we don't do

No data leaves your browser. Hush has no servers and makes no network requests of its own.
No tracking or analytics. The extension does not profile you or record your browsing.
No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.

What stays on your device

Your on/off preference and your per-site pause list are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. This information never leaves your device and is only used to remember your own settings.

How blocking works

Ad and tracker requests are blocked by Chrome's built-in declarativeNetRequest engine using a fixed rule list shipped inside the extension. The extension itself does not read the contents of the pages you visit or inspect the individual requests being blocked.

Your control

Because Hush handles no user data, there is nothing for us to request, export, or delete. Uninstalling the extension removes its local settings from your browser.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated date above will change with it. Material changes will be reflected in the extension's store listing.
